Dr. Christopher A. Shaw
Dr. Chris Shaw Dr. Christopher A. Shaw is a neuroscientist at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver. He holds a Ph.D from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and he is the author of over 120 peer-reviewed papers and 5 books. He has served on numerous research panels and is currently a member of the Research Committee of ALS Canada and a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of Neurological Heath Charities Canada/Public Health Agency of Canada. His research has focused on the causes and early stages of various neurological disorders, including ALS, Parkinson’s, and autism. A key element in past and ongoing studies involves the role of environmental neurotoxins and their interactions with genetic susceptibility factors. His most recent work has examined the potential of aluminum adjuvants to induce behavioural changes and nervous system pathologies in animal models of ALS and autism. Learn more about Chris here.
