Thomas G. Sherman
Thomas G. Sherman, PhD, is the Associate Professor of Pharmacology & Physiology at Georgetown University. Dr. Sherman’s interests and teachings have focused on issues of the endocrinology and biochemistry of metabolism, on issues of nutrition and food as medicine, and on the control of body weight, exercise, and appetite. He is currently teaching courses at Georgetown University including: Human Nutrition & Health, Advanced Topics in Nutrition and Human Nutrition & Obesity. He joined the faculty in the Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism at Georgetown University Medical Center in 1996. He is now in the Department of Pharmacology & Physiology, and is the Director of the Biomedical Sciences PhD Program, Associate Director of the Special Masters in Physiology Program, and Chair of the Medical Center Graduate Advisory Committee.
